How to obtain a Covid passport in Murcia

Residents in the Region of Murcia can now download their passes online

The EU Covid certificate has become a necessity in many areas of Spain, as more and more places require proof of vaccination to enter, and for those wanting to travel internationally, most countries in the world are asking that visitors show these passes at the border.

Residents who have received both of their jabs in Spain can obtain the pass from their local health centre, but to prevent long queues and unnecessary phone calls to overwhelmed local centres, the regional authorities have set up a faster way to obtain the CDC, or Certificado Digital Covid.

All that is needed to request the document is a health card (from the Murcian Health System) and a phone number.

Here are the four easy steps to obtain your Covid pass now:

First, visit the Portal Salud website and select ‘Solicitud Certificado Digital Covid’, or simply click this link https://portalsalud.carm.es/portalsalud/principal/inicio#solicitar
Insert your NIF/CIP number, which can be found on your Murcian health card (this is the number in the middle of the card which follows the letters CARM), your date of birth (Fecha de nacimiento) and your phone number (Teléfono). Note: the phone number used must be registered with your local health centre.
Select the type of Covid pass required: proof of negative test (certificado de pruebas), of vaccination (certificado de vacunación) or of having had the virus recently (certificado de recuperación).
Finally, click the ‘Solicitar’ button.

The webpage will then provide a code to grant access to your Covid pass, which will be available to download in a PDF format.

However, this method will only word for those who have access to their certificate identifier (which can be found on your original Covid pass).
