These are the national and regional holidays which apply to the entire country next year
The official calendar of festivos – holidays from work and school in Spain - for 2025 has been confirmed and it includes a total of 12 public holidays, 9 of which will be celebrated nationwide.
In addition to these national holidays, there are 2 local holidays, bringing the total number of holidays per year to 14.

The following holidays will be celebrated throughout Spain in 2025:

- Friday August 15: Feast of the Assumption
- Saturday November 1: All Saints' Day
- Saturday December 6: Spanish Constitution Day
- Monday December 8: Immaculate Conception Day

Regional holidays in 2025
In addition to the national holidays, there are several regional holidays that will be celebrated in specific autonomous communities. These include:
- Thursday April 17: Holy Thursday (celebrated in all autonomous communities except Catalonia and the Valencian Community)
- Monday October 13: National Spain Day (holiday in Andalucía, Aragon, Asturias, Castilla y Leon and Extremadura)
- Friday July 25: Santiago Apóstol (celebrated in Galicia, Madrid, Navarra and the Basque Country)
- Wednesday March 19: San José (celebrated in the Region of Murcia and the Valencian Community)
Long weekends in 2025
The celebration of several holidays on Mondays or Fridays will result in longer weekends than usual in Spain in 2025. These include:
- Monday January 6: Three Kings Day
- Friday April 18: Good Friday
- Friday August 15: Feast of the Assumption
- Monday December 8: Immaculate Conception Day
In addition, the celebration of Holy Thursday on April 17 will result in a four-day long weekend in most autonomous communities, except Catalonia and the Valencian Community.
In three communities (Navarra, the Basque Country and La Rioja), this long weekend will be five days, as they have also declared Easter Monday (April 21) a holiday.
